7. Internal competition

The first internal competition was organized at the beginning of April 2023, and it was played in the form of 3*3 where the members of the initiative were grouped into 4 teams and they played each other.

6. Receiving balls from one of the members of honor in July 2022

On July 16, 2022, Magic BBI received 10 balls with a Spalding mark from one of our members of honor MASHAMI NZIRANZIZA Protegene. These balls were bought by him from the USA and he donated them to Magic as a support to the initiative. We appreciate his continuous support of the MBI.

Since the initiative was introduced we have organized different friendly games with other teams from the Burera district and Musanze district. Those friendlies were organized on the following dates:

4. Participation in the inter-school competition

Since the basketball game was introduced to GS Butete school in February 2022, the kids have successfully represented our partner school to participate in the inter-school competitions for two successive seasons both at primary and high school levels, boys and girls’ categories.

Magic Basketball Initiative is a sports-oriented Initiative that has been based at Butete Primary School /Cyanika sector since 2022 up to now.
